Notion updates

Notion 2.6 has been released last week and it brought some improvements.

Here is what's new:

  • Better PDF Export: when you export a page or databases as PDF files, they will look better and without broken formatting.

  • Improved Google Drive Embeds: Notion allows you to embed and easily find your Google Drive docs and sheets.

  • Callout Blocks: this new feature allows you to add new boxed text with emoji icons. Perfect to claim attention to writing and add disclaimers, tips, warnings, etc.

  • Inline Code Block Comments: you can now select any text inside a code block and add a comment inline.

  • Web Clipper for Firefox: you can now save any web page to your Notion workspace with the new Firefox extension (already available for Chrome)

You can find additional information here.

Confluence introduced a new editing experience

Confluence, the team collaboration software by Atlassian, has just updated its editing experience.

This feature was spotted by Sumeru Chatterjee from the Notion Made Simple group. Smashing spot by him!

Just like Notion, Confluence allows you now to type / to open a menu and insert different kind of content (like files, tables, macros, code snippets, dates, etc.) to your page as you go.

How Monzo Developers use Notion

Jake Wright is a software developer at Monzo and has recently shared a vlog explaining how he uses Notion to organize and plan his work.
